We are two Churches united in an Local Ecumenical Partnership, tho we are, in reality we are more than that - we are
one church, Sandford church with two buildings, currently one is a Methodist building and the other an Anglican one.
The present church was built in 1899, the schoolroom being the original church built one hundred years earlier. Both are listed
buildings. We have been in a Local Ecumenical Partnership with All Saints Church just down the road since 1995. Over the
years we have gradually worked closed together and now all services are united the venue being alternated between the two buildings.
We have a small congregation of about 30. We are Fair Trade Churches. We are part of Churches Together in Winscombe and
Sandford which includes United Reform, Roman Catholics and Quakers. We unite for Lent Lunches, Lent Groups, Week of Prayer and
Women's World Day of Prayer.
have a Lunch Club which is held in the local inn once a month. This is for the community and especially for those who live on
their own and we also provide transport when necessary.
The new Care Home opened in the village in 2009 with an expected total population
of around 225.

" As we seek to work ever closer together in our churches so we seek to work with those in the wider community. "
The care village is now up and running, it includes a Dementia care unit, Sheltered Accomodation and is part of the
St Monica's Trust.
In 2014 we agreed to worship in one building to make the best use of our resouces but this is currently on hold while we await the outcome of a local planning application to build new homes. Should this go ahead we will bid for a new worship centre to be included.
